The outside dungeon rerolls everytime you load a new map yes,

the bosses roll over every 5 other maps loaded, ie kill 5 bosses and go back thru.

Hello Forum.

I will start by saying that I have intentionally been absent from all things synergies for the last long while.  I do not apologize for this as it had to happen. Life has a way of catching up with all of us, and we have to choose what is the most important things at times, and go with it.  I actually thought I would be able to come back to the mod a lot earlier then this, for that I will apologize.  It was never my intention to abandon or leave it stagnant at all.  It just kind of happens with life.

With that said, I am going to try, without promising anything, to finish the paladin, work on bringing tier2 to light and then see where the embermage, ranger and the embersteps are at.

I've slowly tinkered for a while now, and have finally decided it is indeed important to get more closure on the pieces that need it.

I guess this would be the category for me. I'm looking for someone to explain the jeweled sword. It requires lvl 114 and i am wondering how to go about getting it to use endgame gems with. Also, is it also capable of storing mythical skulls as well as soulstones? Sorry if this subject has been beat to death before i arrived. 100 2h endgame engineer.

Hi everyone. A few friends and I are going to be getting into Synergies soon but first we are looking for a "features and changes" type of guide which shows the differences between vanilla Torchlight 2 and the Synergies mod. Now, I'm quite familiar with vanilla mechanics so I'm looking for the specific changes/differences between game systems such as attributes (for example, does Vitality give more HP in Synergies, etc.), skill changes/balances to the base 4 classes, weapon systems (are certain weapons balanced differently, etc.), drop/loot changes, other general stat changes or balances, and so on.

I've seen a bunch of guides showing what content Synergies adds but not necessarily what specific balance changes there are from vanilla. New content is great and all but... first we want to know how the game works before we play it :)

If anyone can help me out and link me some guides containing this balance information it would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I beg to differ.

The leveling experience is a mess. There are still numerous bugs in darknessfalls, more than half of the classes are incapable of completing a reasonable amount of bosses, even with already tier 1 gear and the newly added classes (ranger, paladin) are underpowered and hard to understand (because the skills are worded poorly).

If there's something I regret is that I was too late to the party. I could provide feedback when Salan was still working on the mod and maybe he could prioritize the more important things first.

Leveling from 1-00 was never something SynergiesMOD was about, SyenrgiesMOD has always been about the content it adds....raids, it does not add any lvling content simply because Salan never made any lvling content and never expressed any interest towards adding leveling content either, Realm of Discord was added (from my understanding) mainly due to the story-line in Synergies and not as a "use this to lvlup".

SynergiesMOD is a very complete experience in that it allows 4 classes to complete all SynergiesMOD content, SynergiesMOD has decent longevity which is why i say it's a very complete experience, if you take your time to gear your character and go through T0 all the way to T1 raids you will have a lot to do.

I asked Salan on Steam to go back to the previous version, where Paladin wasn't reworked yet and it was working really well actually. Also, on the previous version, Embermage is not OP like she is right now. I had an answer that is not really one.. I don't think he will take a look at it unfortunately. He has left the modding scene once and for all, me thinks.

As for the missile reflection thing, technically it's not missile reflection but damage reflection. Missile reflection doesn't one shot ranged characters, it just deflects the shots. Damage reflection, on the other hand, is a mess of a stat.

I think Salan has been asked more than once to just remove this attribute which is more of an annoyance than anything, especially for Prismatic Bolt Embermages, but he never did, even when he was still active.

Sadly, as Potterman already wrote, this mod can be considered dead by now, has been too long since a patch was released for SynergiesMOD and Salan is no-where to be found.

A lot of stuff is left unfinished and probably will never be updated, but SynergiesMOD is still a very complete experience.

Seems like I'll have to be contented with melee classes, since playing physical rangers is impossible :(

A very quick and easy fix would be to reduce the missile reflect damage to 0%. This way, bosses are extremely tough only, they won't one shot you with your own hits.

On another note, has anyone heard anything of Salan recently? Is he ok? I mean, he's been inactive for almost a year both here and on the grim dawn forums.

You're not supposed to have access to Mapworks when you're lvl 20. Mapworks level is 55, that's why you get lvl 55 wands there.
