0.05s is too much. Maybe 0.5. Other than that i dont think it needs much change. Wonder if it can proc on hit effects?

Not sure about on hit procs.

Another option to consider is perhaps keeping the 1s CD, but make Rage Retaliation hit nearby multiple random enemies per proc? The CD could be kept at 2s, and the number of hits and %WDPS would scale?

Actually it already scales.

120% at lv1
160% at lv15

2s cd at lv1
0s cd at lv15 (but capped to 1s)

Ah ok, didn't know that, or perhaps my older version doesn't have it yet, will check.

How to implenment adding minor aoe to it?
If that's not OP, how would one go about doing it?

Perhpas adding adding range for a start, but not too much to the point of countering ranged opponents, since there are opponents that can hit you from a small distance or knockback, preventing RR from triggering.


Can it trigger ALL passives?
If not, it should, would combo great with Shred.
Also, if in Frenzy, does every RR hit become a crit?

I have no idea on the interaction of RR with Knockback. I don't actually know if Knockback preceeds RR, and stops it from triggering, and I've also never heard anything of the like before.

As for getting hit from a small distance, I don't imagine it is that huge a problem for RR-users, considering most of them would be melee builds anyway.

No idea. Haven't tested.

Shred eventually falls off. It is still decent, but using any skill with AOE is much more worthwhile than the interaction you get (from getting hit) with RR.

I would imagine RR doesn't have prorated Crit chance, so yes.

Another thing I've been thinking about, it's probably just impulse here, but what if it did %WDPS as Ice damage?

Would also be nifty if it helped build Charge (if you ignore Executioner/Banner/Ice Shield's's bonus)
Would do true justice to its name then too; transferring the Charge gain component from IS to RR.

Not much of a difference. It's not as if RR deals the god-forsaken physical damage; RR takes your weapon element, which has pros and cons. Unless there are some strong reasons to push for RR being Ice damage, I think it should stay as is.

After several serious test, I found the RR is scaled with Weapon Damage, not weapon DPS.
The skill description is wrong.

remind me if i haven't checked this, i'll put it in my to do list for when i get home, check the actual file for what it says on the damage.  we'll know if its dps or damage.

Wish 'someone' could fix all the incorrect tooltips.
And add stuff like which weapon effects can trigger with which skills, e.g Shocking Burst only triggers -Armor and what not.

I know it's a lot to ask though...

Salan, Have you checked the rage retaliation file to see if it is based on wdps or weapon damage?

Runic has a wrong description on the tooltip.  :)

The damage of RR itself is good if you are using a 2h weapon. (since it's based on weapon damage instead of wdps)
Not that bad in the 1h/DW situation as a supplement.
And affected by Howl and Frost Breath. (+43% and +48% all damage taken)

The only shortage is dodge and block would not proc it, and 1s CD for each target.
Maybe just leave it as it is right now, and fix the tooltip description as it states it's wdps while it actually is weapon damage?
