It's very nice :)

I find the hero bar and the elite bar should be inverted.

The contrast between the gold and the purple tells that it's something very very important. First point to be a Hero.

Now, about the colour of the health bar itself : the yellow bar instead of the red, for the elite, tells that the monster is more experienced than the others. But the purple tells that it's very serious now (especially a dark purple like this).

I don't have made any colour kind of studies ^^ but that's how I see it

My progress trough Tiers of monsters was: Iron > Bronze > Silver > Gold. Might just remove the iron part.

I would say better Gold > Silver > Bronze > Iron, as the gold is more precious than Silver, which is more precious than Bronze, and so on. In Minecraft, the fact that the Golden Sword was worst than the Stone Sword has always troubled me..

You probably explained this earlier, but do you really want to have multicoloured health bars? I love the way the health bars get flashier, but red always means Health, you know?

It probably won't be such a big deal in practice, but if you haven't already considered it, you should.

Maby try add colour for borders only and leave health bar red, like ghostblade said. In that case maby do more fancy borders.

I guess i should have put it like this:

My progress trough Tiers of monsters was: Iron -> Bronze -> Silver -> Gold. Might just remove the iron part.

So the weaker ones are iron and you work your way up to gold, my bad on the explanation part. Don't want to mix the orange bar with the bronze base, too much orange, gets pretty hard to see at a glance where the health is. But yeah, also might just go with the red health bar and keep purple for the big badasses, so you know when you're really in trouble.  :D

I was also thinking: the *base* is now stone, maybe the highest tier of monsters would be marble instead of just regular rock, either that or progressively make the bars more elaborate until the bar is full metal.  :-\

the health and name get added by the game ui from within the layout.  The bars are designated within the imageset.  I am sure you could line them up to look exactly the way you have it thou

Ignore the health color, only the gold one should have the purple one, the rest have the red version. Off to making health/mana globes. Hope you like.

Mana is basically the same thing, just dark blue.

Edit:
Health is always half full eh? Just added half-full versions to get feedback if i should make the background of the globes transparent or full. What do you guys/gals think?
Also, this is still a WIP so the globes are not finished, planing to add some ornaments here and there.
